Svea is the founder & executive producer of INSITU site-specific dance festival, a unique site specific dance festival with a social mission.

 

INSITU brings dance into the public spaces of a community and engages and empowers people through dance. Through free public outdoor dance performances and a free three-month community dance workshop, INSITU invites residents & audiences to discover their neighborhood through dance and strengthen their relationship to their community. INSITU will take place at the LIC waterfront (Hunters Point Park, Gantry Plaza State Park, Queensbridge Park) in the summer of 2017 in partnership with Hunters Point Park Conservancy, Chocolate Factory Theater, La Guardia Performing Arts Center and Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement.
